Jenny and James wedding day shoot was very different. The bride an groom are living Down under but when it was time to get married they wanted to return to the place that they met. Ullswater in the lake district. Jenny and James both have parents in the UK and wanted to also make sure that they were included in this beautiful wedding.
So the plan set the next thing was to implement It. Jenny soon insisted the help of her Father and also James parents .
The venue was book on at the Inn on the Lake Ullswater and the the date was set for the 21st.
Jenny and James have two Children Jake and Ava
Who of course had leading roles in the days performance, Usher and Flower girl.
The Venue was a beautiful lake side setting offering stunning views and gardens as well as a beautiful food and impeccable service.
One of the reasons why the wedding was so different is because although I had met the Bride, I had not met the groom and I had never shot at this venue before.
Normally as standard part of my wedding package I would meet the bride and groom at the venue a couple of weeks before but the logistics just did not pan out. I balanced this by arriving a day earlier so that I could introduce myself to the groom and start to make him feel at ease. I also took the opportunity to look around the venue and talk to the organisers.
Later that evening I met again with the entire wedding party to go through the rehearsal.
This proved to be a God send as I was able to help with valuable input to make things go smoother the next day. Anyway here are a few of the images taken
Noah and Em’s Wedding ,When I met up with the bride and groom for their pre wedding shoot the sun was shining an although cold , they was very beautiful. We walked through the ground and started to plan our wedding shoot day. I took a few pictures of the bride and groom to be and started on the getting to know you relationship prior to the wedding. Although this is not essential it is a great advantage and it gives me the opportunity to see how the couple are going to react to being photographed.
The venue was the Elvetham Hotel Fleet Rd Hook , Beautiful hotel famous for the 1970 Benny Hill sketch Yackaty yack Sax It would be band today.Although the pontentual for some great shot around the garden was very evident, the honest truth is its a early spring wedding , Light still low and cold winds still blowing. This meant that outside shots will be limited ( i explained to the bride and groom ) So we set about looking at the inside of the building for feature shots. The ceremony room was predominantly lit from the side with late morning but still very contrasting light but very workable even without flash ( i prefer working without flash during the ceremony much less distracting for all.The day came together nice, We did do a very fast areal shot of the big group and also a confetti shot, but much to the delight of the family , bride and groom, we did the formal groups inside right next to a open log fire. Here are a few selected pics of the day.
Steph and Ben's wedding was held at
Wedding planner Jackie was there to over see the event and planning excellant job as well. The ceremony was beautiful with a lovely warm delivery of service from the two very friendly and warm registrars.
The food was stunning as to be expected and the venue also laid on lots of good entertainment through out the night , including Photo Booth and sweat trollies. The first Dance was performed to a being accompanied by a solo singer guitarist " you look wonderful tonight' . Great day great couple and lots of fab pictures , here are a few pictures
